SCHOOL AMERICA

School America is a National Delta Sigma Theta initiative and is designed to enhance the educational development of youth through regular reading services for children ages 1-10. The main objective is to solicit 10 partners to build a pyramid of registered readers (area churches, schools, libraries, bookstores, local civic organizations, and community centers). 

To date, FCAC has registered over 62 readers.  We have held drawings for a free book by an African American author and donated books to a shelter. 

School America Expanded Activities included a monthly book donations, library read-ins, book & blanket reading parties, reading contests, author's book signing, library card use party, storytelling, puppet shows and face painting.
