Midori Oglesby

Heritage High School

Congratulations to Midori Oglesby, a Fairfax County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. $2,000 scholarship recipient. 

Midori is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society.  She also participates in Next Level 4 Teens Inc. as a volunteer receptionist, mentor, and tutor, and she is a member and Chair of the Youth Advisory Counsel. Since 2006, she has been a Forensics Prose Orator. In 2008, Midori won first place in the  Dulles District Prose Orator Competition. Midori is also a Heritage High Newspaper staff writer and a Loudon Bible Church Nursery volunteer.

 In the Fall of 2008, Midori  Oglesby plans to attend either the University of Alabama or Virginia Tech where her passion for people, service, and foreign language has inspired her to double major in Public Relations and Spanish.
