Greetings Virginia Sorors! We are so excited to have you in Fairfax County as we host the 2010 Spring Virginia State Meeting. 
The Fairfax County Alumnae Chapter is pleased to host the 2010 Spring
State Meeting.
The meeting will be held on April 10, 2010 at Hayfield Secondary School located at 7630 Telegraph Road Alexandria, Virginia. See directions to the School below. The Presidents’ Council and
Social Action Training
will meet on Friday, April
9, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Springfield Hilton Hotel located
at 6550 Loisdale Road, Springfield,
Virginia. See directions to the hotel below.
Registration
The registration form is available on this website. Please print or type
all names on the
registration form. The registration fee is $50.00 per soror,
and $40.00 per South Atlantic Regional Council member. There
is no fee for workshop presenters. Sorors who are members of
the South Atlantic Regional Council and all workshop
Presenters should register with their chapter. If you are a
Regional Council Member or Presenter and you are not a
member of a Virginia chapter, you may submit your
registration form and applicable fee directly to Fairfax
County Alumnae Chapter.
There will be no on-site registration.
Registration and fees must be received by March 6, 2010.
Payment should be by certified check, money order, or
chapter check payable to Fairfax County Alumnae Chapter and

Registration for chapter presidents, Social Action Training attendees, and
Sorors who arrive early
will be available on Friday evening at the Springfield
Hilton Hotel from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. General registration
will take place at Hayfield Secondary School on Saturday
from 7:30am to 8:30 am. Please allow sufficient time to be
seated by 8:45am, so that your entrance will not be delayed
by the procession. A light continental breakfast will be
served until 8:30am. The opening session will begin promptly
at 9:00am.
Mock Convention/Attire
Presiding over this Mock Convention proceeding will be our 15th South
Atlantic Regional
Director, Linda R. Wilson, and our Regional Representative,
Amanda Wise. The attire for Saturday is white, no pants.
Sorors not properly attired will not be admitted into the
assembly. Please bring your ritual and pen lights. Workshops
will be held in classrooms inside Hayfield Secondary School
and vendors will be located inside the school.
Fairfax County School District prohibits smoking on school
property.
Social Action Training
Social Action Training will also be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 8:00
p.m. at the Springfield
Hilton Hotel. All Social Action Chairs should be in
attendance. Please contact Soror Lisa Downey-Hood, South
Atlantic Social Action Chair to confirm your attendance.
Community Service Project
The community service project for the 2010 VA Spring State Meeting will
support victims of
domestic violence at two local area women shelters.
We are asking sorors to support this endeavor with
the donation of gift cards with a minimum value of $10
from any of the following: Target, Walmart, CVS, Kohl’s ,
Visa, and Mastercard.
Hotel Information
The host hotel is the Hilton Hotel located in Springfield , Virginia.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton. These
rooms will be held
until March 20, 2010.
When making your reservations, please state that you are
with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority State Meeting (Reservation
Code DSTS) to receive
the group rate. Directions are attached.
