The 27th annual Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival returns to Reston Town Center for three full days and a long weekend of quirky, unique, and beautiful art. Streets are closed to traffic and lined with booths staffed by the artists, who are happy to answer questions and discuss their work.

 

Artwork ranges in size from towering sculptures to tiny earrings, and there is always something to buy, from paintings and prints to sculptures, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and more. Kids will get a kick out of wacky and kinetic art, and they can try family-friendly activities in the Art Park. There is also live entertainment and food, so it makes a great day trip.

 

Suggested entry donation is $5 and parking is free.

Eddie Levert, Sr. COncert

Kindred the family soul child

Kindred The Family Soul is simply Aja Graydon and Fatin Dantzler; artists, songwriters, lovers, family. Both got their start as teenagers. Performing weekly at the famed “Black Lily” showcase at a small club called The Five Spot, Kindred developed a reputation for electric live performances featuring a 10-piece band. Hustling parents of a toddler by day and ripping stages by night.

KIRK FRANKLIN & LEDISI: THE REBEL, THE SOUL & THE SAINT TOUR

Gospel superstar Kirk Franklin and R&B powerhouse Ledisi have teamed up to co-headline “The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour.” Opening up the tour will be PJ Morton. Both Ledisi and Kirk Franklin will be performing various fan favorites as well as songs from Kirk’s current album Losing My Religion and a few songs from Ledisi’s upcoming album Let Love Rule. This tour will mark the first time that both artists have been on the road together performing for adoring fans.
